    HOLA Program Coordinator

    Ana Torres joined the Strategic Outreach and Initiatives team in February 2023 as the program coordinator for the Hispanic and Latino Outreach and Leadership in Academics Program. She is a Kennesaw State University alumni with a Bachelor's in Modern Language and Culture and a Master's in Business Administration.  

    Ms. Torres has been working with Kennesaw State University since 2016 and loves being part of Owl Nation! Her previous roles in higher education include admissions, registration, financial aid, retention and enrollment customer service management. She is passionate about working with students and helping them reach their academic and career goals. Ana was born and raised in Lima, Peru and loves her Hispanic heritage. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, arts and theatre and spending time with her pets and family.

      Misty Henderson joined the SOI Success Coaching team in March 2023, for the Hispanic and Latino Outreach and Leadership in Academics Program. She is a Kennesaw State University alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology Degree.

      Mrs. Henderson has been working with Kennesaw State University since 2019 and loves supporting students! Her previous role in higher education was in financial aid. She is passionate about supporting and assisting students in their goals. In her free time, she likes to read and spend time with family and friends.

        Assistant Director, Diverse Student Success Programs

        Mr. Stinchcomb is a dynamic and accomplished professional who has made a lasting impact on the field of student success and retention. As the Assistant Director of SOI Student Success Programs at Kennesaw State University (KSU), he brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of empowering students to excel academically and personally. In his current role as Assistant Director, Mr. Stinchcomb serves as an impactful leader and administrator. His dedication to ensuring that all students have equal access to opportunities and resources is at the core of his mission. He has been instrumental in creating a supportive and inclusive campus environment that fosters student success, progression, and retention.

        With a solid foundation in academic achievement, Mr. Stinchcomb earned both his Bachelor's degree in Human Services (2011) and his Master of Public Administration (2013) from KSU, with a dual concentration in nonprofit management and case management. Recognizing the importance of direct service and the need to foster student progression and retention, he pursued a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia's clinical program in 2018, solidifying his commitment to positively impact the lives of students. Mr. Stinchcomb's passion for student success is exemplified through his certifications as a Human Service – Board Certified Practitioner and Certified Nonprofit Professional. With a career spanning over 20 years in various capacities within the human services field, he possesses a profound understanding of the unique challenges that students face.

        In his role as Assistant Director, Mr. Stinchcomb spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing the academic, personal, and professional growth of for all students. He is well-versed in evidence-based techniques and holistic approaches to address the unique needs of each student. Mr. Stinchcomb's approach to student success is multifaceted. He leverages his extensive clinical experience to provide students with the tools they need to navigate challenges effectively. He brings a clinical perspective to student support, ensuring that mental health and well-being are integral components of student success initiatives. In his pursuit of excellence, Mr. Stinchcomb blends elements from various therapeutic modalities, including empowerment and motivational therapy, to empower students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. He understands that no two students are identical, and he tailors his support to meet the individual needs and aspirations of each student, fostering a culture of respect and acceptance.

        Mr. Stinchcomb's impact as an administrator is evident in the positive outcomes he has achieved for students. Through personalized guidance, mentorship, and a commitment to breaking down barriers, he has played a pivotal role in helping students succeed, progress, and persist in their educational journeys.
